2002 Meeting announcement

[From Rick Marken (2002.03.20.0850)]

I will be sending this announcement out periodically over the next few
months. Please register for the 2002 meeting of the CSG as soon as
possible, while there are still good seats left.

The Annual Meeting of the Control Systems Group will be held at Aqueduct
Conference Center near Chapel Hill, North Carolina, July 24 - 28, 2002.
The conference center is especially suited for our group. We will be the
only group using the facility. It has a beautiful main building in which
meals are served 3 times a day. The food is "home cooked" and delicious.
In addition to the three meals a day, the meeting spaces (there are at
least 3 lovely meeting rooms with windows, flip charts, etc.) are
included in the fee we will pay. The fee also includes snacks and soft
drinks for breaks. The bedrooms are located in 2 cottages and are very
similar to a nice motel room. Each bedroom has 2 double beds and a
private bath. Each of these 2 cottages has a great meeting place to meet
or hang out! The entire facility is air conditioned, which we will
probably need in July in Chapel Hill! Each building is in close
proximity to the other. The conference center is located in a beautiful
wooded area right outside Chapel Hill. The web site is:
www.aqueduct.citysearch.com

Wednesday, July 24: Arrive in the afternoon; meeting starts in the
evening. Sunday, July 28: Depart during the morning/early afternoon.
Cost: $405 all-inclusive early registration before February 20, 2002.
$415 from February to March 15; $425 after March 15, 2002. Make checks
payable to CSG and send them to Fred Good, 1022 Damascus Church Road,
Chapel Hill, NC 27516.

The Center is 30 minutes from the Raleigh-Durham Airport; 10 minutes
from downtown Chapel Hill. The center can accommodate 35 people
overnight.

Fred Good will provide shuttle service on Wednesday and Sunday to and
from the airport at no extra cost. You can also rent a car at the
airport.
Further arrangements at a local motel will be made if necessary.
However, a day registration and meal fee will have to be paid in
addition to lodging costs, making this option more expensive than being
on site.

For a brochure and further information, you may contact me at
Nview@aol.com or call Fred Good at (919) 942-8491.
