Birthday party

[From Bruce Nevin (980625.1904)]

Bruce Abbott (980625.1730 EST)--

The rest of you are
invited over tonight for cake and icecream.

My youngest, Katrina, turned 11 yesterday. We had 10 of her friends for a
camp-over, staying in wickiup structures that she had built. Can they all
come too?

If they can't, does that count as coercion?

I'm controlling a perception of you grinning at the thought of 11 5th
graders trooping off to the ferry and the bus, trailing their sleeping bags
behind them, to get to your birthday party. I don't have means to enforce
that grin, so it's definitely not coercion. Just imagination.

Sure! Bring the wickiups, too. And wish Katrina a belated happy birthday
for me.

If they can't, does that count as coercion?

Only if Bill and Rick say it does.

I'm definitely a grinnin'. It doesn't seem so long ago that my own daughter
Cyndi was that age . . . (Sigh)

You're never going to tell me why you think there has been such a
lack of interest in and recognition of PCT, are you?

_My_ conjecture is that PCT will receive interest and attention when it is
shown to be able to solve a major problem that has been frustrating
"conventional" models. Given the state of modeling in the social sciences,
this will occur sometime well after the first cold day in hell.
