The book "Blink" has come up a couple of times in conversations recently. Some people think it may be relevant to my work in control theory, particularly my work on catching fly ball, where "decisions" seem to be made very quickly (in the "blink" of an eye, I guess). If anyone on this list has read "Blink" I would like to hear your ideas about its relevance to PCT.

Rick, I've just read Blink and feel it does have some relevance to PCT. It's an uneven book, by an author, Malcolm Gladwell, good at writing books he knows will get published.
Yet, there are many examples of situations where decisions are made in what, to me, is a PCT mode. ..... people in control of their situations.
If you do read it, and skimming will probably suffice, please let us know what you think.
