This is just a hunch, but has anyone done any research on the possible connection between HPCT and Hans van der Laan's plastic number (4:3 ratio)?
For example, in a spatial sense, could the first six levels of the hierarchy culminate in this 4:3 ratio of perception to determine similarities between objects? And if objects were perceived at a different ratio, thus breaking the threshold of likeness, wouldn't the need for categorization (level 7) logically follow?
