Been under the weather. Discovered Court TV. Turns out there
is a public school 'science teacher' on trial in Springfield, MO
who is accused of murdering his wife and two children. Prosecution
ssme to be using his (John Feeney, I believe) advocacy of
'control theory' in their case. William Glasser was mentioned as
the leading author in the field. Oh boy, just imagine the worst
and you'll have an idea of some things said about 'control theory.'
Prosecution portrays Feeney as 'control freak' who uses Glasser's
theory to get his way with people. On the other hand, one female,
who admitted to extramarital sexual activity with Feeney, said
she did not find 'control theory' to be an effective approach to
teaching because students could get away with anything if it were
followed. YET, she maintained that Feeney used 'control theory'
to get his way with her!
