CSG 2000 $

[From Fred Nickols (990714.1805 EDT)]--

Okay; here's the scoop...

I checked with the fellow who heads up the Conference Center at ETS and he
indicated that a "ballpark" figure to use is $235 per day per person. That
includes room and three meals per day. It also covers the cost of all
meeting rooms and audiovisual support. Assuming the meeting room and AV
costs can be split out and tied to a registration fee, the cost per person
should go down and be transferred to the registration fee. Assuming a
three-day conference, that's a total of $715 per person. Splitting that
between reg fee and living expenses might not mean much but it will to
some. So suppose a registration or conference fee of $300 and expenses of
$415 per person (travel is not in the equation). Compared to lots of other
conferences, that's dirt cheap. Compared to past CSG conferences, it's
probably outrageous. Anyway, that's the picture at this time.
