CSG & PCT on WWW

[from Gary Cziko 950509.1500 GMT]

I want to both apologize for my neglect of the CSG/PCT homepage on the
World Wide Web and to let people know that I am finally getting around to
doing something about it.

I have registered for a course entitled "Publishing on the World Wide Web"
which will run two days a week from May 16 through June 15. My project for
this course will be to get the CSG/PCT homepage organized as an appealing
and practical way of learning about the CSG and PCT.

One of the instructors for this course is my graduate student Yong Zhao.
Yong has put together what I think is one of the most exciting WWW
environments in cyberspace. It is called Ex-Change, and it is an
electronic magazine (plus other resources) to which second-language
learners of English can interactively improve their English writing skills
and publish articles on the Web. Take a look at
http://www.ed.uiuc.edu/exchange/exchange.html if you want to see how the
Web can provide a unique learning environment. I hope that soon
http://www.ed.uiuc.edu/csg/csg.html will be comparable.--Gary
