Rick, can you change the link on the CSG website to this URL?

Wow, it’s all done as a web page! From there, you can join or leave
the list, sort messages by title, name, or date, and even perform a
search.
This may be the time when all those who are still using an old e-mail
program should finally upgrade to one that recognizes HTML code
(“styled text”), now that the archive system can render the
code for displaying text in bold, italics,
underline, and so on. I’m wondering whether it might be able
to handle images as well . . .

Not sure why, but my previous message was posted to the archive showing the
HTML code rather than being rendered as styled text, although the "content
type" is given as "text/html." Yet Gary's message displays properly,
including the colored and underlined link to the archive. Go figure . . .

Bruce, I received this message with all the styles intact and linked.

Clearly, the list server now has a sense of irony;-)
Anyway, I am posting this reply _via the listserver_!! That is, I went to
http://listserv.uiuc.edu/archives/csgnet.html, clicked on Bruce's original
message (quoted above) and then clicked on the return mail icon at the top of
the message. I had to register with the server in order to reply but that
took only about 1 minute. I presume this means that anyone who finds this
listserver can post to the server by replying to existing posts. I presume
that one still has to subscribe to CSGNet in order to post directly to the
server at listserv@postoffice.cso.uiuc.edu.
I'm also interested in seeing how this post is formatted. I'm typing into the
text box provided which seems to wrap at about 72 characters and has no
formatting options.
Anyway, it looks like CSGNet is back and better than ever.
Best regards
Rick
PS. I can't add a sig either, which could be seen as a good thing.
