I understand that it is not possible to get a computer virus via e-mail
from the internet. The only way you can get into trouble is buy
downloading software from the Internet and then executing it on your
machine.

So don't worry about e-mail from CSGnet infecting your machine
(revolutionary ideas from Rick Marken infecting your mind is another matter
for which the management of CSGnet takes no responsibility--perhaps even
encourages!).--Gary

In B:CP you call the Prisoner's Dilemma "a pretty paradox as long as one
plays the game as a seventh-order program bound by fixed rules. Going up a
level, however, destroys the paradox, as is the case for all self-
contradictions."

Does this mean that an organism or entity (computer program, robot) made
up of the first 7 levels only would be unable to solve the dilemma by
cooperating? That you would need more levels to arrived at cooperation,
as in the iterated version of the dilemma?
