Donald T. Campbell, the late polymath psychologist, wrote a paper on the
conflicts between biological and social evolution and between psychology and
moral traditions (1975, American Psychologist, 30;1103-1126). In it he cites
Powers (1973; B:CP) in an illustration of finding optimum states among
competing forces. Also, he wrote a rave blurb for the book jacket. Does anyone
know the "influence" these thinkers had on one another, if any?
