[From Bill Powers (2004.08.17.0944 MDT)]

The status of Delphi 7 is determined: Delphi 7 Personal Edition (no
commercial use) will cost $99 (I paid $108 with shipping). Delphi 6
Personal Edition is no longer available, although updates are still on
Borland's web page. Delphi 7 compiles and runs my old Delphi 6 programs
with no detectable differences, except for one warning message having to do
with Microsoft's .NET programming system (Microsoft's answer to Java?). It
can be ignored.

Those who still have Delphi 6 can continue to use it. Anyone starting out
to learn Delphi programming should probably buy version 7.

Best,

Bill P.
