essentially nothing

I was mistaken. Bill Powers never said that I never contributed anything,
how could I ever have thought he did, what he said was that, I have

"contributed essentially nothing"

What a terrible mistake, how ever could I have become so confused?

I wonder though, can some one tell me how much difference is there
between a "nothing" and a not "anything?"

I was complaining, in the archived passage above, that you had
contributed essentially nothing of substance to CSGnet
