Hi everyone,
Here in neuroscience land we keep on coming across feedback circuits
within sensory systems (olfactory, visual, somatosensory) and when they
are mentioned they are usually followed by comment about how it unclear
why that is. For instance, there are feedback ciruits between retinal
nuclei and LGN nuclei and slo between LGN nuclei and striate nuclei...
Do any of you have an idea or opinion or whathaveyou about what the
function of these circuits are--remember, this feedback is not via
external outputs. Are these circuits the "imagination" circuits?
PLEASE, if you reply, send a copy directly to me at m-olson@uiuc.edu
because I am not on the net and cannot readily check it periodically.
Thanks.
