Dear Bob --

No doubt you believe you have done a very clever thing by getting your  
message out over the internet. In fact, you have spammed a scientific  
discussion group, your message appearing in the middle of discussions of  
human control systems and related subjects. And that is just one of who  
knows how may conversations you have intruded upon in this very unwelcome  
manner.

There are acceptable commercial uses of the internet, those that make goods  
and services available to people who want them and want to take the trouble  
of accessing the information. The search engines like Yahoo and Lycos and  
Webcrawler index commercial sources (among all the others), so if you  
construct a Web page sooner or later it will be indexed (I'm confident that  
there are ways of making sure this will happen). You would be well-advised  
to use this way of selling your programs; it will cause far less ill-will  
than the method you have chosen.

In any event, please removed the discussion list
