Bill--I noticed the your book is one of those nominated below.

B:CP is certainly the most _important_ and _brilliant_ work
in cognitive science from the 20th (or any other) century.
But I would have a hard time voting for it being the most
_influential_. Are they giving an award for the most important
and least influential book of the 20th century? If so, I think
we have a winner!

Best

Bill--I noticed the your book is one of those nominated below. Seems to me
you could get your group to lobby on your behalf by supporting the original
nomination.

THE MILLENNIUM PROJECT:
THE TOP 100 WORKS IN COGNITIVE SCIENCE

Presented by The Center for Cognitive Sciences at the
University of Minnesota

We ask for your help in compiling a list of the 100
most influential works in cognitive science from the 20th
century. We'll accept and list nominations on our web site

http://cogsci.umn.edu/millennium/home.html

until mid-December 1999. Then an esteemed panel of experts will
evaluate the nominations and arrive at a rank-ordered list
of the top 100 entries. In January 2000, we'll post this
"Top 100" for the world to admire and grumble about
(assuming our web server is Y2K compliant). Then, we'll all
have our reading set for the 21st century.

Please have a look at our growing list. Is your favorite
book or article there? Contribute a nomination, or add a
comment, pro or con, to an existing nomination. Come back
often!
