I just received the following in response to my message to Hugh Gibbons that the character in his book The Death of Jeffrey Stapleton, appeared as survivor in an obituary published on the Internet.

Dag, I am so sorry to inform you that Hugh passed away on March 9th. He had liver cancer and was getting treatment at Dana Faber in Boston. The treatment was experimental, immune therapy. The treatment seemed to be working but Hugh suddenly took a turn for the worse and died in two days. That was a blessing - up a around Tuesday and died on Thursday.
We are having a party in his honor on Saturday. It is very short notice but we would love to see you. It will be at the house in Falmouth. I know Hugh enjoyed working with over the years. He will be missed by many. I haven't been good at reviewing Hugh's email lately and didn't see your notice until today.

I subscribe to Google Alerts. Jeffrey Stapleton is one of them, set with the idea that I would catch any mention of the book on the Internet.
Got a notice today. Turns out Jeffrey is not dead, but survives his father Harvey. See the attached pdf. Good for a laugh

I am near Falmouth (across 7 miles of water plus a bus ride to get my car). I am trying to free up my Saturday, but some things must be resolved. Assuming I make it, are there words, names, or other tokens that anyone would like me to bring with me?
