        There is wonderful review of "The Social Organization of
        Sexuality" the definitive study of sexual behavior done
        by several renowned sociologists in the New Yorker of
        941219. One line I especially like is: "It (the book)
        tells us more that we care to know about our sexual
        behavior but next to nothing about or sexual nature;
        this is hardly the fault of the editors - it was not
        brief - but it brings you up hard against the vanity
        of sociology, of the belief that there really is such
        a thing as average human conduct (114)." The reviewer
        has a great quote from the book "'We cannot say which
        come first - general happiness or a good sex life - but
        the correlations are clear and striking.'" to which he
        says "And so to bed (114)."
