insect flight control

[From Bill Williams UMKC 20 June 02 4:20 CST]

The current issue, or at least the issue on the shelves here, of Biological
Review vol 76 # 4 November 2001 contains an article that may be interest to
control theorists genrally: Graham K. Taylor "Mechanics and aerodynamics of
insect flight control." p. 449-71. Unfortunately the explicit model presented is
an input-output configuration. However, in discussion the author sometimes
explains insect flight control in terms of resistence to disturbances.

Cool! A thought: could people photocopy such articles as they mention them on the net as being of general interest, and bring them to the conference for others to copy (or send the copy to someone who is coming to the conference). I'm sure there must be copying facilities available not too expensively at or near the site in Chapel Hill.
