J.G.Taylor's paper on axioms is "The role of axioms in psychological
theory", Bull British Psychol Soc, 21, 1968, 221-227. I don't know why I
said 1971. The usual explanation is "brain fart", but that's not very PC(T),
is it.The only book of his that I know about is "The Behavioral Basis of
Perception", Yale U.P., 1962, and it doesn't consist of paper reprints. If
you want to read the axioms paper and can't get it online, I could scan it.The year lead me astray.
I was looking at the 1971 "The Shape of
Minds to Come", written by the British physicist John G. Taylor.
Amazon has the book listed under "J.G Taylor".I'd love to read the paper. If you've got time to scan it, I'd appreciate it.

I didn't know there was another J.G.Taylor in the field. Sorry about that.
I attach (but see below) PDFs of two of James.G.Taylor's papers, the Axioms paper and Experimental Design: a Cloak for Intellectual Sterility. I scanned them this afternoon and haven't done OCR. I may do that, but you probably can, too, if you want searchable text.
Jim came to work at our lab after he retired, and spent several years doing what I felt was very interesting "thinking outside the box" research, not all of which was ever published, so far as I can see. I think he came to our lab because I had written a good review of his "The Behavioral Basis of Perception". I was a relatively new Ph.D. and he was retired, but we got on well together, and although I never really liked Hullian behaviorism and he was a Hullian behaviorist, I thought his basic theory was correct -- and I still do, even 20+ years after having learned about PCT. I think all the reinforcement crap can be taken out of his theory and replaced by reorganization. In fact, because of this thread, I'm tempted to try to do just that. If I ever find time
