On re-reading this I see that it could be taken the wrong way. I MEANT to
say to Bruce "I'm impressed that you made it all the way to the end of the
paper WITHOUT BEING PUT TO SLEEP BY IT". Heck, I could barely manage to stay
awake through the whole thing myself, even while I was writing it;-)

More seriously, it always takes me at least six months after I
have written something before I can re-read it and be _really_
impressed by how well I said it
