[From Rick Marken (970616.0850 PDT)]
My Life Learning Site (with the Java demos and some papers
on PCT) has been moved to http://home.earthlink.net/~rmarken.
I have put a pointer at my old site (www.leonardo.net/Marken)
to the new home page. Also, if you were pointing directly to the
Java Demos page (www.leonardo.net/Marken/demos.html) you will find that
I have put a pointer from that page to the new demos page
(home.earthlink.net/~rmarken/demos.html). It might be nice
to change your pointers (such as the one from the CSG home page)
so that they go directly to the new demos site. [Gary Cziko: you
might also like to change the pointers in the references section
of my page that point to my "Mind Readings" book -- now at
http://home.earthlink.net/~rmarken/mindread.html -- and to the "Blind
Men" paper -- now at http://home.earthlink.net/~rmarken/SP.html.\]
I copied my old site to my new site basically in toto. I left out
a few things in the hopes of keeping the disk space usage well
under 2MB (which I get for free). But I _think_ everything works.
If anyone actually goes to my site for a visit, I would appreciate
it if you would let me know if you have any problems.

I would appreciate any recommendations for primers on PCT, and
more readable expositions. (Unless the goal is to select-out
those unwilling to pore through Powers).
Well, one of the best primers on PCT is soon to be published;
unfortunately, it is also written by Powers;-)
There are several intros to PCT available at the CSG home page:
http://www.ed.uiuc.edu/csg/. For example, there is a nice intro to
PCT in Kent McClelland's "Perceptual control and social power". I
also think my paper called "A Science of Purpose"
http://home.earthlink.net/~rmarken/SP.html gives a relatively painless
intro to PCT. If you are interested in clinical applications of
PCT you might like the introduction to PCT given by Ed Ford in his book
"Freedom From Stress".
Best
