Since Rick would rather prove to you that you're more interested in
preserving the status quo than in advancing PCT,
Oh, Bill. Don't you get it? Bruce keeps teasing me by playing alien and
extolling the virtues of conventional approaches to understanding behavior
and I keep teasing back by playing the PCT paranoid who sees everyone
interested in advancing PCT as an alien in disguise.
I will answer in his place.
Those were EXCELLENT suggestions for memory studies, if I do say so myself,
since I was going to suggest exactly your "morphing" approach to studying
memory for faces. I think your idea of studying memory for different types of
perceptions is an excellent framework for memory research. I'm sure Bruce
will agree that you have described the way psychologists should have been
studying memory all along.
