I agree with Bruce that there might be other interpretations that what
I suggested, but I also agree with Bill that my interpretation is the
simplest and most straightforward, on the info provided. But what
particularly struck me about this is that it might be possible to find
out more about it; in fact I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was
already some kind of treatment in the `human factors' literature: how
the human visual system handles multiple moving objects would be
highly relevant to aviation, for example. And methods accessible
to PCT researchers might be used to investigate it: one could imagine
a video-game where you had to keep a `boat' from being
directly over a `sea-monster' (that would eat it), while also
controlling some logical condition off the screen (when the light
is green, foot on petal, when red, off, or something like that).

Or maybe simultaneous control of things on two screens at once -
I'm told that PC's can handle two video-cards at once.
