[From Bill Williams 4 June 02 17:00 CST]
Recently I noticed a supplement to The Proceedings of the National Academy of
Sciences 14 May 02 vol. 99 # 10 devoted to "Adaptive Agents, Intelligence, and
Emergenct Human Organization: Capturing Complexity through Agent-Based
Modeling." p. 7187-7316. ( Supplement 3 ). I've only had a few mintues to
look at it before the library closed last Friday. Now, for the time being it
seems to have vanished. Given the very short time I had to scan it before the
doors closed I didn't immeadiately see stuff that would interest most CSGnet
subscribers. However, given the location in which what is described as a
"colloquium" on agent based modelling appeared it may prove useful as a
reference to the current state of the art. The cover consists of a graphic
depiction of a crowd attempting to exit a narrow door.
