More Rick Markens?

[From Bruce Abbott (950203.2020 EST)]

if remembered, i'm the unfortunate spawn of the now
defunct east-texas PCTers. now at a respectable graduate
program i need to begin an internship. preferrably it would
involve those purposive aspects of our condition--you know
the regular. if anyone needs a bushy tailed gopher or simply
likes giving money to young men that aspire to be Rick Marken
let me know as the south-texas prospects are steadily growing
dimmer.

I don't mean to sound unenthusiastic, but I already have enough trouble
dealing with the TWO Rick Markens we've already got (Marken-Marken &
Marken-Bourbon). The prospect of another one just sends CHILLS down my
spine! (;->

Cheers!

Bruce

Keep looking over your shoulder, Bruce. Isaac will be the shorter one, with
red hair. If you thought Rick and I were trouble, will you ever be
surprised!

On an only slightly more serious note. . .. Isaac was to do his
summer internship here in the magnetoencephalography lab, which would
serve as a cover for us to work on PCT. Like all other attempts to do PCT
under the covers, it flopped, and I doubt that the traditional faculty
members who hold Isaac's fate in their hands would approve an internship
where he hangs out at my house for the summer.

If anyone has, or can create, an internship for Isaac, the lucky person will
be getting one of the brightest prospects on the horizon for the next
generation of PCTers. Besides, Isaac is one of the most responsible and
orthodox people I know, and he always respects his elders.

Hummm, you obviously don't read Tom very carefully. Tom is ANYTHING but
another Rick Marken! While I'll admit that you won't find many (if any)
disagreements concerning actual PCT, they are not exactly in accord in
broader philosophical discussions. Indeed, their very disagreements are
themselves strong reason to consider very seriously their consistancy in
PCT matters.
