[Here](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/eqskco1d2pch9gq3q15aj/Yin-align-2025.pdf?rlkey=10p60fad9ndtkbpqvac0xuesj&dl=0) is a wonderful paper by Henry Yin that explains very clearly why much (most?) of current neurophysiological research tells us little about the neurophysiological basis of behavior. Spoiler alert: It’s becuase it is based on the wrong model of behavior.
