... people ... seem to mean that love lasts forever which ... is
plainly wrong. the psychological condition of the love goes with
you when your deep-sixed and most of the time it is simply absent.
again, most of the time i don't love anyone. do you or anyone out
there actually feel love 24-7. i really doubt it ...
Could it be both ways? For me, there is a difference between loving
my lady, which I do 24-7, and _feeling_ that love, which most of the
time is indeed absent. And that is a good thing; otherwise I wouldn't
be able to do a lot of things that are important for me as well,
besides loving.
I think that strong feelings indicate that an important issue has to
be resolved and needs lots of attention -- and time/patience. Strong
feelings strongly focus our attention on an area in our "world-model"
where we aren't experts yet and the solution of the problem does not
arise immediately and without effort. They either indicate a conflict
(between goals that cannot be reconciled) or uncertainty (on how to
proceed towards appropriate action).
Well, that's my two cents of theory. I'm sure that doesn't really
help you now...
Greetings,
Hans
