Paranoia and .45's

[Bill Williams 20 May 02 ]

I'm now sorry for my recent imprudent remarks on political correctness. I'm
sorry they were misunderstood. I'm sorry I tried to correct what I perceived as
a misunderstanding by expanding upon my initial comment. And, I'll probably be
sorry again if, but probably when, the following is misunderstood.

What I've tried to convey in two recent posts has been my preference that CSG
be more concerned with programing models and less concerned with issues
regarding personalities. However, what I said has been followed by a discussion
which first raised the issue of paranoia, and then ( although surely in jest )
of a .45 under a pillow. If I had given the matter a bit more mature reflection
I wouldn't have made the snide remarks that became the ocassion for what
followed. So, without any attempt to justify my preference, I'm simply going to
ask that this thread halt.

cordially yours

Bill Williams

Why do you doubt it? Why do you think this has anything to do with "paranoia"?

I was _not_ suggesting that Bill's comments would help me find the people who

are

out to get me (I handle that by sleeping with one eye open with a .45 under my
pillow;-).

I

think science works best (and is most fun) when carried out as a cooperative
venture. Don't you agree?
