Powers' program: control of visual facial expressions

[From MK (2016.05.11.1315 CET)]

Bill Powers (2010.03.18.1545 MST)--

And using images supplied by Warren Mansell, I've written a program that allows a person with a mouse to control the expression on a human face, against disturbances, through the range from angry to joyful.

This program does not appear to have been made public. Were the images
produced independently or were they facsimiles borrowed from the
oakman and friends?

Hi Matti,
Here is the Masters dissertation that came from that in 2008 and it includes the images and their source. I think Bill wrote his own program, but we had one programmed in house too that I think I could get hold of.

I had always intended to test some hypotheses with this task but never got round to it…

Perfect, thanks. No need to dig up a copy of the program – the description in the attached dissertation was sufficient.

Glad to be of service!
