Directory. I would like to see one by any of the
"manual control" gurus such as:Chris Wickens . . .
Rick, why did you pick Chris Wickens? Is it because perhaps I've mentioned
him on the net (he's the advisor of a graduate student who is my next-door
neighbor), or is he really well known in human factors? If the latter,
what do you know of him and his work. I've been bugging my next-door
neighbor into suggesting that I present Powers's demos to Wicken's research
group. What might I be in for?

Much better. It would be nice if EVERYBODY would keep their line lengths
to 70 characters or less. So Mr. Kurtzer, could you please make your lines
kurzer (that's "shorter" in German; shows up in English as "kurt").

I would LOVE to contribute to the replies to reviews. Might all
interested netters be able to put in their two cents toward a edited
"group" reply?
Interesting idea. I wonder what type of impression it would leave to have
a reply signed by a dozen or two PCTers. They might think that it's a
movement. But then, that's just what it is.
But I wonder how we will get people who are con PCT to review the books?
PCT is so widely unknown that I don't see how any of the "con" reviewers
would want to bother critiquing it. And I regularly turn down book review
offers because of time demands and book reviews don't provide many academic
brownie points. Perhaps the "feedback too slow" review needs to be done
first and then sent to potential reviewers as the "bait."
In any case, I think we need to serious discuss our strategy here in order
to take full advantage of this opportunity it indeed it becomes reality.
