Yes, I'm back!
I'm still very limited in what I can do. I was able to scan my in-box on
Dec 20 -- and found 682 messages for inspection! This was far more than I
could read -- much less respond to in any reasonable time. So I've looked
at a few as samples of the status of the net, in case there were any
changes since the last volume of Closed Loop Vol 4 #3 was distributed. I
have that issue.
For several days I didn't have enough energy to even look at any of the
messages, but later I did clear most of them out. Now I still have some
71 messages! I really don't have the strength to look at them all at this
time, but I'm improving steadily thanks to Occupational and Physical
Therapy. I hope to get back to the Net before too long.
It seems I have suffered one form of "stroke" -- at my brain stem. The
major effect was to knock out my left hand, arm, leg and foot. I have
been, and still am, in "therapy" for re-learning control of these muscles.
It has been very tiring and I still have a long way to go. Typing is very
laborious -- barely possible with minimal use of my left hand.
I have a number of observations to report when I am able.
