Tom, I just got back from a week's vacation and got your message. Your analy-
sis of the higher levels involved in students' grade control actions seemed
very thorough and interesting. I won't be able to follow it up here as my
course is not going to be given now that I have retired from Northeastern Il U
but I will be looking for further reports from your work.
My address at home is probably best from now on although I hope to be at NEIU
from time to time yet to see if I can pick up any student interest in modern
psych, I always found a couple each year.

Regarding the math chapters in the textbook - Bill's Demo 1 & Demo 2 really
cover the ground in a more hands-on fashion. I had my students work them
along with chapter 4, especially, and that helped a lot. The demos go way
beyond chapter 4, especially in the sense that the written material shows onlyu
how the system corrects after each disturbance, whereas the demos show what
happens in the more true to life conditions of continuing control against
continuing disturbances.
I'll get the test materials put together and out to you within a few days,
hopefully.
