Satisfaction

[From Boss Man (2004.05.04)]

The observation that satisfaction does not necessarily accompany successful control begs the
question, what then does satisfaction accompany? One possibility is that satisfaction accompanies
successful accomplishment of a goal when there are no other goals that are not being achieved.
Walking can be satisfying when your goal is to exercise and unsatisfying when your car has just
broken down.

Why not try to define what 'satisfaction' means first? What does it mean
to be 'satisfied'? Is it a measurable 'state' of being? How does
'satisfaction' vary from person to person? What part does control play
in it?

There are some very interesting questions waiting to be answered here.

Considering how often throughout history even intelligent people have
been proved to be wrong, it is amazing that there are still people who
are convinced that the only reason anyone could possibly say something
different from what they believe is stupidity or dishonesty.

Being smart is what keeps some people from being intelligent.
