THE C WORD - RKC

DAG FORSSELL (930930 2240) AND (931001 1510)

Dag, I think you have forgotten your own objective -- to sell your
training program.

"CONTROL" is not really what you are intending to sell. As you have
found, "Control" has too many undesired connotations.

Your discussion of "Control," while excellent for some purposes, does
not fit this paper very well.

Can't you use your own analysis to help sell your program? After
all, you are advocating working with the interests and goals of the
"other person" in developing a cooperative relationship to your
mutual advantage. What are the goals of your prospective buyers?

The Summary on the last page of the most recent version is pertinent.

Thus:

"An understanding of Perceptual Control Theory gives insight which
shows you how to align personal goals among associates with those of
the organization. An organization can function as a cooperative,
responsive, productive entity where it is a pleasure to work."

How about:

"A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON CORPORATE LEADERSHIP

--
                      Perceptual Control Theory"

Perhaps this will help you develop a broader view, consistent with your
general purposes.

Regards, and good luck, Bob Clark
