What's changed in csgnet?

Prior to 09/05 emails from csgnet displayed who they were from.

Now, annoyingly, they show they are from csg and you have to open

them to find who they are from.

What’s changed? Are others seeing this? Can it be changed back?

Regards,

Rupert

As of the posting time, nothing has changed for me. I still see who

sent the message without opening it.

I still see who they are from; however, now I have to be careful when I reply because before, my reply went to the list; now it goes to the sender.

I must correct my earlier statement. Something did change. In my

inbox I used to see my own message as “->csgnet…” (a thick
arrow, not two symbols). The last of my messages that was
symbolized like that was the last one Rupert shows as being listed
as from me. Now I see my outgoing messages listed in my inbox as
having arrived from me, exactly the same as messages sent by
anyone else on the list. That change happened between 2.42 and
3.28 pm EDT May 6. I have also noticed another change. Whereas
before I would get a pop-up that said I had incoming messages from
this or that person, now the pop-up says I have messages from
Everything
after the “@” is newly included, quite possibly as of the same
date.

Previous to the change the email fields were, "From" <name>

and “To” and after
“From” “To” “ReplyTo”

I also now receive the emails that I send to csg, which didn't

happen before.

It doesn’t really matter, just wondered how they came about.

Administrators of the Sympa listserv at the University of Illinois must have made some change in how Sympa operates, possibly a Sympa upgrade. We have no control over what the university does with the listserv.
