Wittgenstein misses

[From Rick Marken (971019.0945)]

Re: Rick Marken (971018.1150) --

Upon re-reading the Wittgenstein quote I see that what he was
saying is to subtract arm going up (p) from my raising it (o)
to get the intention (r) so:

o - p = r

Which implies an intentional system defined by the following
system equation:

o = r + p

I believe (based on some quick spreadsheet simulations I just
ran) that such a system cannot be an intentional system (one
that keeps the perception equal to the reference) no matter
what the sign of the environment equation relating o to p. So
it looks like Wittgenstein was close, but no cigar;-)

Best
