PCT explains what these pruposes are and how organisms carry them
out; but it doesn't say one purpose is better than another.

While I agree with you, I would add my self-observation that
seeing organisms as sharing a common mechanism of
goal-realization has caused me to alter my own goals. These
alterations are not to be blamed on PCT, however, but may arise
whenever a sufficiently complex goal-oriented system realizes
how it (and similar systems)work.

Ireland was as spectacular as ever. This time we toured through
parts of Counties Mayo, Sligo, and Donegal. Spent the last two
days in Dublin (the old library at Trinity is not to be missed
-- it looks like something directly out of Borges).

I am, needless to say, hoplessly behind. Seems you got along
fine without me, so I'll take my time catching up.
