This is what Zen is about, I think: learning to keep consciousness
_out_ of the systems that are working well.
The Third Patriarch of Zen in China displayed a remarkable grasp of
PCT. He said
"The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no
preferences."
A preference is clearly a reference level, and since all controlled
variables have reference levels, the Third Patriarch was apparently
telling us that the less we struggle to control the easier life is....

Somehow, I can't imagine laughing too hard if I were being tickled
by Rush Limbaugh.
The mental image I formed of Rick Marken being tickled by Rush
Limbaugh was quite mind boggling. If we posted such a picture, we
might well be nominated for "Adult Site of the Day."
