I’m a mechanical (thermal) engineer in the US, and work on advanced energy technology R&D. However, I’ve always been deeply interested in deeper questions related to mind, cognition, and consciousness. So I recently started to explore those topics in my spare time, and have wanted to start with a solid organizational framework (a cognitive architecture, essentially). Out of all of the options I have come across, PCT has resonated with me the most by far. I’m hoping that understanding it better will provide me with the proper context from which to approach/reframe many of the more specific questions I seek answers to. A big thank you to all of you for being such great stewards of the concept (including maintaining this forum, continuing work on the theory, etc) so that newbies like myself are still able to find/learn it. I hope to be a contributor in a few years!
