2025 Conference: Accommodation

The 35th annual conference will be from Wednesday October 8 through Saturday October 11.

IAPCT has rented three houses close to the conference site, thanks to a donation from Dag Forssell. These three places can accommodate up to 28 people, eight in one and ten in each of the other two. They are 100-150m apart.

First preference will go to presenters (possibly with spouse or partner).

Deadline: Monday 30 June is the deadline for presenters to claim a bed. After that, we will make the rooms available to other conference participants.

This is for couples and for people who are willing to share a room. Other accommodations are presently available nearby in Kampen Overijssel for October 6-12

  • If your institution pays for your conference lodging.
  • If you are not presenting.
  • If you wish to bring more of your family.
  • If you need a private room. As you can see from the numbers (4 rooms for 8 people, 5 rooms for 10 people) there are two beds per room.

Go here to see what Vrbo currently offers nearby. There are also B&B and hotel offerings close to the conference venue at the Open Universiteit in Zwolle. They seem to be generally more expensive. This Vrbo link shows accommodations for two people.

Details about the three places we have rented are in the attached PDF file and at the links below:

Link: 8-people flat with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

Link: Holiday home on a holiday park
5 bedrooms, sleeps 10

Villa with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeps 10

These rooms are rented for the week of 6-12 October. The conference begins on Wednesday morning 8 October and ends on Friday evening 10 October. To give travelers an extra two days to recover from jet lag and be a tourist for a while, the earliest check-in is Monday 6 October between 16:00 and 18:00. The last departure must be by Sunday October 12 before 10:00. Arrangements before and after these dates are up to you.

We can collaborate on renting vans and/or individuals can make separate transportation arrangements.

This will provide many opportunities for conversations and bull sessions, like the old days.

If you wish to take Dag up on this generous offer, edit this shared spreadsheet. Please indicate any special requirements (access requirements, sharing a bedroom, etc.).

Hi Bruce. I would be very grateful for a bed in one of the houses. I am happy with any of the 3 options. Thank you to you and Dag for arranging the accommodation, it is much appreciated.

The accommodations at the Conference are now open to everyone attending. No longer limited to presenters.

Please firm up your travel plans and pick a house and room in this spreadsheet .
