A new Yahoo Group to discuss and vote on issues related to the CSG Conference 2008

Message
[David Goldstein]

Dear listmates,

Please let me know whether you have received info on this new group that I started.

The Group name is: CSG2008

Group home page: http://group.yahoo.com/group/CSG2008

Group email: CSG2008@yahoogroups.com

There is a poll question which asks you to vote on a date when the conference will

take place.

The reason for the change is that the place in Cherry Hill where I am thinking of holding the conference

is already booked for July 23 (arrive) through July 27v(leave) in the room that would be good for our group.

They are not booked for July19 (arrive) through July 23 (leave).

Please vote as soon as possible so that I can know whether this change of dates would work without

losing too many people who were at this meeting.

Thanks,

David

I clicked on the highlighted url, and got a message
"no such listing ( or the like) but offered another,
which, when I clicked on it was labeled, CSG
conference 2008, but was all about ladies cosmetics.
Not spreadsheet or other means of polling.

What did I miss?

First, David G., widen your window so this line fits into one line. If
you click on the first line, that is all the browser sees and you get an
error message.

Second, when I eliminate the quoted part and add 08 to the string, I get
an invalid URL message. The message asks if I wanted

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/csg2008
. I tried adding the s to the
first “group” and that worked!

Best,

Bill P.

David, I vote for July 19th

No, as it turns out you were right. David can get a good deal at a hotel
but only if we start on the 19th. Sorry for the false alarm.
