An apparent solution to the ecological problem

CHUCK TUCKER [970407] This is a post from another list (called
CRTNET) regarding a book on statistics which proposes a solution
to the problem of relating aggregate data to individual data. I
have not seen it but will; I encourage others who have an interest
to look at it. Regards, Chuck

Statistics and Data

For a closer look at the method Gary King is proposing, see his
website:

click on PREPRINTS AND REPRINTS, click on A SOLUTION TO THE ECOLOGICAL
. . .
The text, tables, and even data sets are available.
A quick scan of the material suggests it could produce a good
discussion, but it will require working through the argument in the
book or on the website.
