seemed hostile.

No problem. Over the past couple of years I've found that, in
some circles, constantly telling people how much they respect
others is far more popular than actually _acting_ respectfully.

I only wish your insight into classroom practice matched your
insight into political practice.

But every one of your criticisms of my "insights into classroom
practice" turned out to be completely wrong. So while my
insights into classroom practice may not be as good as my
political insights, I think you certainly could learn a bit
from both;-)
