Blowin' in the wind

[From Rick Marken (97021.1420)]

Me:

What's really amazing is that, having independently discovered the
principles of feedback control and their relevance to behavior so
long ago, you didn't (and still don't) include anything in your methods
textbook about testing for controlled variables;-)

No. What's _really amazing_ is your unparalled ability to distort.

Well, I hate to brag but I also have the unparalleled ability to sing
just about everything Bob Dylan ever wrote -- harmonica and all;-)

How anyone could arrive at the notion that I am claiming to have
"independently discovered the principles of feedback control,"
based on what I said above, is really beyond my imagination to
conceive. But by golly, you've done it.

Ok. How's this:

What's really amazing is that, having discovered the principles of
feedback control and their relevance to behavior before writing the
latest edition of your methods textbook, you still didn't include
anything in it about testing for controlled variables.

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind;-)

Best
