Bragging on my parent

Friends,

When I came home today I found a message from my sister in Stockholm
excitedly telling me that our mother dominated Thursday's front page of
Sweden's largest newspaper, Dagens Nyheter (Daily News). She instructed me
to go to the paper's home page and click on the Thursday front page. The
link http://www.dn.se/fromQPS/pdf_ettan/4.pdf
opens a pdf-file with Thursday's front page. I guess this file will stay at
this link until next Thursday. I have prepared a pdf file with the whole
page plus a close-up I can send on request.

All I have been able to read so far is the caption and the text on the
first page. (I cannot access the newspaper's archives for the complete
article). I look forward to reading the rest of the story. The picture
shows my mother being interviewed at her table in her home in Liding, a
suburb of Stockholm.

BTW, our house in Valencia is now sold. We are staying with our daughter
and son-in-law in Palo Alto. Our established phone number is forwarded to
our office here. We will broadcast new address and phone numbers when we
have found a home somewhere here in the San Francisco bay area. As before,
I will address you all in the Bcc: field. That keeps the front end short
and sweet.

Best, Dag

Suspicions regarding serious risks using triple vaccines for children are

THE COMBINATION VACCINE against measles, mumps and rubella that is
administered to children does not cause autism, the biggest study to date
of this issue shows. More than half a million children were included in the
Danish study.

Suspicions that MMR-vaccine might cause autism were raised by a British
pediatrician four years ago. Since then, the number of Swedish children who
are not getting vaccinated has risen substantially.

Children's dentist Greta Forssell, 94, remembers the way it was in the old
days, before vaccines became available.

"I don't understand how people dare not to vaccinate their children now
that it can be done."

Dag: Glad your mother is famous. Glad she is still contributing to
the welfare of her community and nation.

And glad you have completed the large step of selling your house.

Dag,

I'm impressed. Imagine having a mom shaking things up at 94!
Curiously, the
first time I pressed the link I got a picture of the front page of
Dagens
Nyheter, but I didn't have time to read it because it took so long I had
punched the next post and they both came up at the same time. Today I
got the
text message, but no picture. Anyway, congratulations.

Best, Dick R

Dick, I appreciate your note. The link was for Thursday's front page, and
would change by the next Thursday. I am mailing you a pdf-file with the
page and a closeup.
