"Bruce Gregory": THE Ambiguous figure (of Self Interest!)

Boss Man, you are crackin me up..

Not my claim. Jim Beardsley made it over a week and a half ago. He
welcomed you back to CSGnet.

Indeed I did.

I no longer have the post. Jim, did you trace the 'Busman's' posts to the
wonderful state of CT and Bruce Gregory?

Both Bruce Gregory's posts before his departure, and Boss Man's after his arrival, similarly (presume to?? imbue the philosophic "state of CT" (as in Control Theory, to perpetuate an opportune pun). Something about their posts are quite similar, and yet, presuming a single author, something subtle about them has changed, besides the shroud attempting to cloak "his" true identity (or will you now play with your gender, too, Sir B?? ;D ). If I (or someone) could somehow apply The Test upon variables of PCT understandings in both persona, there might evince some form of Enlightenment (perhaps??), if not just the silhouette a self-entertaining hedonist??

If not, I stand corrected, and please tell us Jim who you did trace the
post too, because you did in fact trace it.

My own perceptions, albeit now based on my word, indisputably implicated the man, or someone impersonating the man, with the name Bruce Gregory at an address in the charming New England State of CT -- which, by my own word, I had no knowledge of beforehand.

Of course, having been tempted by the game myself, I've now become an unwitting accomplice, as the owner of the email/SMTP domain named used by Boss Man, "IsLikeA.com" [uppercase emphasis mine], has playfully elected to conceal his registration info behind a proxy service.

To see for yourself, click on this link (or if it fails RE-concatenate this address in your browser's address field) and type in the displayed privacy code from the image on the right to view the "Private Registration" disclosure:

The mole has hidden underground, and unless I waste more time hacking for other evidence, my word is all I have.

Boss Man, you play an excellent (albeit so far an elementary) game, but I doubt you succeeded, or will succeed for long at least, to conceal your identity from your style. You seem to control for a class of variables I doubt even you can conceal sufficiently!

I look forward to you making this interesting, if not fun, for more than just you and me. I'll be impressed if you can enlighten those truly exploring, and yet capable of exploring, the nature of behavior. Might yours be an example we shall yet explore and generalize from?

Thank you for the clarification JB. I too feel his writing style,
manners and focus are those of Bruce Gregory. Why the different persona?
You got me. Btw, BG resides in Pomfrit Center Ct, 136259

It all seems kind of silly to me.

Marc

Considering how often throughout history even intelligent people have
been proved to be wrong, it is amazing that there are still people who
are convinced that the only reason anyone could possibly say something
different from what they believe is stupidity or dishonesty.

Being smart is what keeps some people from being intelligent.

Would that be as silly as you calling yourself ‘spiderman’ ?

Yep, that’s exactly why I did it.

Of course, some people just aren't very bright.
