That time it worked. don't ask me what you did right.

Yes, it looks as if the Giffen effect would create positive feedback, until
even bread got too expensive to purchase. Then customers would start
finding drastic solutions and the sellers would have to back off on the
price. So the price of less desirable goods would hover in the range where
any further increase would result in loss of customers (one way or
another!). See WalMart, K-Mart, Target, etc..

This leads me to formulate the Basic Principle of Capitalism:

Sell the most goods possible,
Of the lowest possible quality,
At the highest possible price.
