Celebrating 30 years of CSGnet

Continuing a celebration of CSGnet, a 1996 post by Bill. I read here the evolutionary advantage of human culture, its collective-control basis, and a cross-cultural evaluative metric: prevalence of unresolved interpersonal conflict. The difference between our experience applying these principles on CSGnet and applying them in Discourse suggests the importance of collectively controlled variables that we talk about with words like “structure”.
