CLOSED (REJECTED?) LOOP

From Greg Williams (930427)

Rick Marken (930426.0800)

Well, it's sour grapes time again on ol' CSGNet. My paper
"Hierarchical behavior of perception" was rejected by the
journal "New Ideas in Psychology"...

Anyway, that's it for this paper. Now all I want to know is how
to submit this paper to Closed Loop. Greg - should I send it
e-mail. There are some figures but I can send them to you via
snail mail. Is that OK?

Sure. The Spring CL is just about finished, and the Summer issue
is going to be guest-edited by Ray Jackson (on social influence);
perhaps I could put your paper (and Joel's?) in the Fall issue. Let's
talk formally (??? -- well, I mean as a Group!) about editorial
policies, including review procedures, at the Durango meeting -- I'd
like to see CL head into '94 looking more like a "real" scientific
journal.

As ever,

Greg

Greg, if there is room in the Fall issue, I have material for you --
manuscripts on my interactive (social) tasks. One even comes with
credentials -- a stack of negative reviews and rejection letters. The
others were never submitted -- why give the _____s the pleasure? I would
much rather submit where my manuscripts would be reviewed by peers. It is
time for the journal.
