I’ve been having strong
discussions on the FIS (Foundations of Information Science) list with some of
my colleagues from lists I’ve been on since the early 90’s.
Over the years I have changed
my mind many times on some concepts, but this one keeps coming
up.
Does information exist at
all?
IN PCT there is no need
for information concepts plainly and very obviously the PCT model is an energy
transducer-converter concept. This is I think is one of the great strengths of
PCT.
I’m very biased as
I think that all baryonic matter is represented by energy conversions and
nothing else. However I think I may be wrong.
But there is no doubt
that information does exist in some form, J A Wheeler, J Bekenstein have shown this in General Relativity (Geometrodynamics) with
entropy of black holes.
Is information part of non
baryonic matter then?
If so then what role does
it play in living baryonic matter feedback systems?
I think the Wiener feedback
model (information based) is just not correct, so what is going on then?
Regards
Gavin
